SUCCESSFUL MARKETING CAMPAIGNS

The partnerships and trust we’ve formed with the following clients mean everything to us. We consider ourselves fortunate not only to have been given the opportunity to work with them, but to see the continued impact of our mutual efforts.

Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission: Rebranding Campaign

In 2016, Linear Creative was retained to improve the visibility of services offered to U.S. veterans and their families through the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission (CCVSC). Families are often surprised to learn about the various programs offered by the agency. Some don’t realize they may qualify for temporary, emergency financial assistance to cover things like food, clothing, mortgage and rent payments, utilities, medical transportation, and more through the county-funded agency.

 

We recently completed the new rebranding campaign for the CCVSC to create a stronger, more personal connection to its most deserving clientele. A complete logo design was necessary to set the social service agency apart from other local and federal veterans’ organizations. We designed and developed an expansive new website, program brochures, print ads, broadcast videos, and radio spots to educate a broad veteran audience about all the ways the agency can help them take advantage of the benefits they’ve earned serving our country.

Columbus School of Practical Nursing: Online Marketing

The Columbus School of Practical Nursing is a nationally accredited 12-month program offered through the Columbus City Schools Department of Adult and Community Education. After 60 years of excellence, the nursing program had experienced a significant decline in student enrollment, and called upon Linear Creative to help fill their class seats.

 

Because diversity was important to our client, we created different messages for different groups, and attempted to connect with males who typically did not enroll in the program. We developed an integrated online strategy targeted at young adults living within a certain radius of the school, convincing them to consider becoming a nurse. We did so primarily through social media, Google AdWords, an inexpensively produced 30-second video, and a highly converting landing page. The results? We doubled their student enrollment for three consecutive cycles! Oh, and we also helped attract a new population of male nursing students who were very eager to learn and begin their careers as licensed practical nurses.

Ohio Cancer Research: Capital Events, Ask Campaign, $10 Million Endowment Fund!

Established in 1982, Ohio Cancer Research is an independent, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the cure and prevention of cancer. Linear Creative has been a staunch supporter of OCR, helping improve their visibility and status to secure basic seed money used to fund clinical trials at institutions including University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, The Cleveland Clinic, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and The Ohio State University. Our efforts for OCR have included complete website redesign, branding, core message development, and monthly event initiatives to broaden their donor base and encourage large capital contributions. We are currently in the process of working with OCR on a two-year major fundraising program with an optimistic goal of raising $10 million dollars to fund life-changing research right here in our state! Providence House: Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness

Linear Creative has worked closely with Providence House as a marketing and fundraising partner for nearly a decade. From signature events like Deck the House that recently raised $163,000 in one magical evening – to annual appeals – we have helped the crisis nursery center consistently increase its funding year after year. Collaborating with Providence House on a weekly basis, we’ve created hundreds of marketing items to support their mission of caring for every child in crisis.

 

The integrated elements shown at the right were part of a child abuse and neglect awareness campaign centered around the theme: “I Am Your Child.” The objective was to convince every Northeast Ohioan that children suffering from neglect or abuse were all of our responsibility. We featured blended stories of children and their families who had stayed at Providence House and benefited from the caring services there. Among the message vehicles used were website landing pages, videos, a brochure, a newsletter, a direct mail piece sent to potential donors and businesses, online display ads, and over 25 banners displayed at Tower City! The direct mail piece alone pulled in $15,000 dollars, volunteer efforts increased, and the recently expanded house gained a new set of repeat donors.

Plexus: Diversity Summit

Plexus is the chamber of commerce for the LGBT community and allies of Northeast Ohio. Through the years, Linear Creative has helped Plexus advance its mission of helping the LGTB business community within its network improve, develop, and grow. When tasked with promoting the Plexus Diversity Summit in 2011, Linear Creative developed the theme, “Many Voices for One Common Cause.” We contacted some of the most influential CEOs and business owners in Northeast Ohio and invited them to lend their voice and their organization’s position on diversity and equality in the workplace. For this particular campaign, we rebranded the Plexus website, produced a video featuring top executives, and created a direct mail program to help companies realize the benefits of becoming more involved in LGBT networking and hiring. The result was an unprecedented, collaborative effort that encouraged companies to network together, explore and expand their supplier diversity initiatives while gaining a new understanding and respect for individuals and other businesses in the region.

AIDS Resource Center Ohio: Program Awareness

Located in Columbus, AIDS Resource Center Ohio was founded as a dedicated AIDS medical center in 1984 to combat HIV at a time when the disease was considered a death sentence. So much has been achieved since that time thanks to medical advancements, antiretroviral therapy, and AIDS prevention programs. To help the center get the word out about its new model of care in Ohio, we created a series of print ads, online display ads, patient pamphlets, a program brochure, and an annual report. According to an April 11, 2016 article published in the Columbus Dispatch, “ARC Ohio basically succeeded in its mission to tackle HIV.” The article points out that, “Some 80 percent of its HIV positive patients are virally suppressed. They can live nearly as long as those without the virus.” It’s trends like these that encourage and energize us to continue strategizing ways to promote change.

Columbia Academy: Education Programs

A private school system located in Columbia, Maryland, Columbia Academy is comprised of four preschools and one elementary and middle school. Linear Creative developed a comprehensive marketing plan to position the academy as a leader in quality education programs. With visually enticing messages delivered to a targeted parent audience, we’ve helped the school consistently meet its enrollment goals for two years straight. In fact, 2017’s “Sensational Summer” Camp enrichment program is on track to fill all 12 weeks with excited campers thanks to a unique branded look and consistent messaging carried across a variety of delivery methods including: print ads, social media, a postcard, a brochure, a weekly theme sheet, an e-blast, and dedicated website pages with online enrollment functionality.

North Coast Men’s Chorus: Patron Program

The North Coast Men’s Chorus in Cleveland, Ohio provides high-quality musical entertainment to diverse audiences, promotes a positive influence within and beyond the gay community, and provides a supportive environment for its members and participants. After performing for over 25 years, the group was faced with the need to increase their donations if they wanted to continue operating.

 

Our challenge? To re-engage existing donors and find new ones. After reviewing their existing donor base, the first step we took was to reestablish an annual patron recognition dinner. We then developed a comprehensive annual ask across all concerts and activities with sponsor levels ranging from $1,000 to $50,000. The ask was presented to their existing patrons, and mailed to inactive donors, businesses, and other potential donors.

 

The result? The chorus began their patron program in 2012 and has increased its donor base by 800% to date. The North Coast Men’s Chorus has no debt and a healthy cash flow. Linear Creative continues to create and implement new programs to increase their funds, while designing fresh, fun concert and promotional materials that consistently help sell out their events. Now that’s something to sing about!
