Designing a food drive logo for Columbia Academy was a rewarding experience for the Linear Creative team. The private school community in Maryland holds an annual “Souper Bowl” food drive to benefit the Maryland Food Bank. The school was looking for a concept that clearly communicated that the drive is food-related, even though the event’s name is a fun variation of the NFL’s big game. The logo was used on press releases and parent letters, promoted across social media channels, and displayed inside Columbia Academy’s five school locations and other community buildings. The results were quite impressive. In January of 2017 alone, the young students collected nearly 7,000 cans of food and other donated items to help feed their neighbors in need!
